US Assure has appointed 15-year veteran Steve Bristow to its executive team in the role of Senior Vice President, Insurance Operations.
Bristow will be responsible for the operations of US Assure’s program administration and insurance service functions, including executive-level direction and oversight of service teams, underwriting units, contracting and licensing areas, the billing team and business processing functions.
While Bristow has held a myriad of roles in his 15-year tenure with US Assure, he most recently served as Vice President of Program Administration. Deeply ingrained in the company’s history, Bristow supported US Assure’s original service delivery model and managed the company’s leading Builders Risk Plan insured by Zurich. As the company transitioned to its present model, Bristow was appointed as a Vice President. During that time, he was instrumental in US Assure’s implementation of its billing and commission payment platform. Bristow has played an integral part in US Assure’s recent achievements, including its two prestigious industry honors in 2014: Zurich’s Spirit of Excellence award and the Target Markets Program Administration Association’s (TMPAA) Best Practice Designation.
“Steve’s expertise with our company, customers and the insurance industry have proved invaluable, especially in recent years as we have advanced our programs and services business and expanded relationships,” said Andy Ferguson, US Assure President. “He has made significant contributions that have helped evolve US Assure into the company it is today, and it is with great pleasure that I welcome Steve to our executive board to help direct the business strategy of our organization.”
Bristow is the eighth member of US Assure’s executive team, joining Andy, Chief Executive Officer Ty Petway, Chief Financial Officer Chris Emans, Chief Information Officer Tim FitzGerald, Chief Underwriting Officer Alan Ferguson, Chief Marketing Officer Ryan Schwartz and Senior Vice President Selena Breedlove.
Bristow holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Penn College and was employed by a global insurer prior to joining US Assure. Locally, Bristow is a long-time contributor to the United Way of Northeast Florida and advocate for the YMCA.
