Wind Coverage Expanding for Vacant Homes in Florida Counties

Apr 17, 2019

Across the coast and around Florida, property owners are vulnerable to hurricanes and other natural disasters unique to the Sunshine State, even when the property is unoccupied.

We’re pleased to inform you that the optional wind / hail coverage is expanding for vacant homes in all Florida counties, except Monroe, through our vacant structures insurance product. This includes residential risks located near the coast and valued up to $1.5 million, depending on the construction type of the home and qualifying county. The effective date for new business is April 1, 2019, and renewals is May 15, 2019.
